Generally, CD pattern bolts are exterior components that require a generous and beautiful appearance before choosing. Generally, the material used for CD pattern bolts is SUS304, and some will use SUS316 or SUS410 materials. So why not use carbon steel materials?
Let’s first take a look at the characteristics of stainless steel and carbon steel materials. Stainless steel materials have corrosion resistance, good ductility, and moderate plasticity, which meet the production requirements for CD pattern bolts. CD pattern bolts can only be processed for the second time after the screws are cleaned. Carbon steel materials have poor corrosion resistance and cannot be used for secondary processing of CD lines after electroplating.
Therefore, due to the characteristics of the material and processing technology, the CD pattern screw cannot be made of carbon steel.
